What is Extra Añejo Tequila?

Extra Añejo is a type of tequila that has been aged for at least three years in oak barrels, making Tequila’s premium category, hence the most pricey.

This long aging process results in a darker color and a richer, more complex flavor than other types of Tequila.

Extra Añejo tequila is made from 100% blue Weber agave, which is grown in the Jalisco region of Mexico.

The aging process of Extra Añejo allows for the flavors of the agave and the oak barrels to blend together and mature, resulting in a smooth and complex taste.

Some of the flavors that can be present include caramel, vanilla, chocolate, and spice making it quite similar to bourbon.

Extra Añejo is typically drunk neat, to fully appreciate its unique flavor profile.

For its price I absolutely don’t recommend using it to make cocktails as it’s a poor use of your money.
