What is Blanco Tequila?

Blanco is a type of Tequila that is clear in color and often referred to as Silver.

This is the type of Tequila that you will see me most of the time, along Reposado, as I seldom drink aged Tequilas as I prefer the taste of agave other any other tasting note.

It is made from the blue agave plant, which is native to Mexico and is the same plant used to make all types of Tequila.

However, unlike other types of tequila, Blanco is not aged in oak barrels, preserving a clean and fresh taste.

Blanco Tequila is usually bottled right after the distillation, which means that it has a more intense flavor and aroma than other types of Tequila.

It’s also not as sweet as aged Tequilas which in turn makes it a better taste for cocktails.

How to drink it?

When it comes to drinking Blanco Tequila, there are several ways to do it.

Some people like to drink it straight up, either chilled or at room temperature, while others prefer to mix it with other ingredients to make cocktails like Margaritas, Palomas, or Tequila Sunrise.

When choosing a Blanco Tequila, it’s important to look for high-quality brands that use 100% blue agave and preferably free of additives and foreign substances.
