The nose offers rich green olive aroma, with cooked agave, orange and lime.
On the palate, Fortaleza Blanco offers a terrific oily mouthfeel, flavor is rich in olive, blue agave sweetness, ripe fruit, mint, a salty note and just a drizzle of black pepper.
The finish is long, peppery at first, with anise and agave in the background along pleasant warmth.
Fortaleza Blanco tastes like… Tequila is supposed to taste, as it delivers a cooked agave blast, along a nice olive hint and the right level of sweetness making it exceptional.
The right amount of heat making it a great sipper for those looking for a Small Batch Tequila rich in blue agave flavor.
G4 Blanco

Suerte (Luck) is a Reposado aged for 7 months in Jack Daniel’s barrels.
Nose hits with agave at first, followed by vanilla, light oak, caramel, along a soft earthy note.
On the palate, Suerte displays a thick body providing a good mouthfeel.
Flavor is rich in agave, easy on the oak, along caramel and cinnamon notes with just a dash of black pepper.
The finish has a solid length, with very little warmth to it, mostly sweet along a bit of oak spice.
Suerte seems to be a legit Reposado Tequila as I don’t detect any artificial flavors making me think that this is an additive-free Reposado.
123 Organic Reposado

- Nose: Agave, vanilla, caramel
- Palate: Agave, baking spice, caramel

- Similar to: Patron Reposado
This Reposado is the product of aging 123 Blanco for 6 months in white oak barrels.
The result is a sweeter Tequila, with caramel and vanilla notes along moderate oak presence.
The nose brings agave at first, followed by vanilla, caramel and a subtle wood note.
On the palate, 123 has a buttery feel as the texture feels thick.
Flavor is rich in agave, along a rich note of baking spice making it notoriously tasty, followed by caramel and just a tad of oak.
The finish is long and pleasantly warm, with nice warmth that lingers down your chest.
It drinks beautifully neat, as it does not need neither chaser or ice.

Tromba Reposado

Tromba (whirlwind) is crafted by Marco Cedano who spent 17 years working for Don Julio Tequila where he learnt a thing or two about distilling spirits.
The nose hits hard with agave, followed by caramel, along citrus notes of orange and lime.
Cooked agave hits harder on the flavor, along a pleasing baking spice note of cinnamon and nutmeg, with a subtle touch of oak.
Finish is long and smooth, with no burn or bad bite as it goes down incredibly easy.
Mr. Cedano definitely learnt a few tricks, not only because Tromba is good but better than Don Julio Reposado at a better price delivering great value and a Tequila well worth sipping.
Aged for 6 months in bourbon barrels.
T1 Estelar Añejo

- Nose: Scotch, agave, oak, vanilla
- Palate: Agave, Scotch, oak, chocolate

T1 Estelar Añejo is the best Añejo Tequila under $50 to buy.
This is a super smooth Tequila aged in Scotch barrels providing some unique aromas and flavors.
It must be noted that this is an Añejo free of additives ticking a box that is becoming increasingly important.
Nose hits with a Scotch-like aroma, followed by agave, vanilla and light oak.
On the palate, T1 Estellar has more of that Scotch whisky note, along agave, oak and a light chocolate note.
The finish has a decent length with agave, oak and a dash of pepper.

Jack is not my jam as it tastes like window cleaner and Gorilla Glue but those notes are absent in Partida Añejo.
The nose hits with oak at first, followed by cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and a bit of old leather.
On the palate, Partida provides a sweet and smooth flavor rich in baking spice and agave at first, followed by vanilla and ripe fruit note.
The finish lingers with oak and ripe fruit, with very little to no warmth providing a rewarding sip.
Partida is also free of additives and foreign chemicals providing a legit experience.
Tres Agaves Organic Añejo

- Nose: Agave, vanilla, honey, cherry
- Palate: Agave, vanilla, caramel, orange

On the palate, Tres Agaves feels velvety providing a great mouthfeel. Flavor brings agave, along vanilla, caramel and a bit of citrus.

Maestro Dobel Diamante

Maestro Dobel provides great value for the money, making a great alternative to Don Julio 70, which is the best Cristalino Tequila but comes at a much higher price tag.
On the nose, I get a pleasant scent of lemongrass, along vanilla, agave, oak and just a whiff of alcohol.
On the palate, Maestro Dobel has a nice mouthfeel as it feels overly smooth yet tasty.
Flavor is rich in agave, along hints of vanilla and oak with a bit of black pepper.
The finish is medium to long, pleasantly warm, sweet, with with oak and a bit of black pepper.
Maestro Dobel is nicely rounded, as it strikes a good balance between the sweet agave notes of tequila, along vanilla with oak and pepper.
Another plus is that it tastes legit as I don’t get any artificial flavors or sweeteners.
This Tequila is so smooth that you can easily drink it neat. But I have found that the best way of drinking it is rocks.
Somehow, ice finds a way to tune-down the light peppery notes it has making it a tad sweeter delivering a nicer drinking experience.
